THE INCUNABULA

Got a little further down the rabbit hole this week while nursing a cold…stumbled on this interesting site, THE INCUNABULA that boasts:

You have been searching for us without knowing it, following oblique references in crudely xeroxed marginal “samsidat” publications, crackpot mystical pamphlets, mail order courses … a paper trail and a coded series of rumors spread at street level … and the propagation of certain acts of insurrection against the Planetary Work Machine and the Consensus Reality … or perhaps through various obscure mimeographed technical papers on the edges of “chaos science” … through pirate computer networks … or even through pure synchronicity and the pursuit of dreams. In any case we know something about you, your interests, deeds and desires, works and days … and we know your address. Otherwise…you would not be reading this…”

Well, that’s quite a claim alright, and listening to this spooky stuff while under the influence of cold medications made it seem even more bizzare, if that is possible…

A book review of the The Incunabula refers to this being one of the first internet ‘myths’ that rose out of the BBS boards and categorizes it as science fiction/fantasy. But then again, isn’t that where they hide all the good stuff????

The delightful legend of the Ong’s Hat travel cult has been posted in the form of the Incunabula Papers since the earliest days of BBS and Internet communications. The mythos is an historical and cultural curiosity for that reason alone. Has the great world-mind of the telecommunication infrastructure begun to breed its own myths? But wait, there’s more! Add to this mix a benevolent race of humanoids descended from Javanese lemurs on a parallel Earth, capable of dimensional shift without machinery, who have been world tripping for thousands of years. You’ve got your chaos; sex magick; applied quantum physics; shadow conspiracy; crypto-palaeontology and enlightenment hopes all wrapped up in one neat package. What the Hell more do you want?

I was also interested to learn that the definition of the word Incunabula is he earliest stages or first traces in the development of anything. The word was developed exclusively to deal with a book, or even a single sheet of text, that was printed — not handwritten — before the year 1501 in Europe. It often revealed works that were a hybrid of the new and the old, with printed text and hand drawn illustrations. But INCUNABULA does seem an appropriate word to apply to a stargate type mode of travel, of which we may only be seeing bits and pieces, a technology that can allow us to travel through time and space, not to mention dimensions! It does seem as though there have been precedences for this kind of ‘bleed through’ as new ideas are discovered, investigated and brought into mainstream awareness.

Well, just stumbled across this tidbit on Red Ice Creations, always an interesting stop on the tour of the internet. Seems the idea of ’stargates’ or dimensional portals isn’t as far fetched as we might think! I still think is a lot more complicated that this process demands…after all, Harry Potter figured it out pretty quick, right?

While the researchers can’t promise delivery to a parallel universe or a school for wizards, books like Pullman’s Dark Materials and JK Rowling’s Harry Potter are steps closer to reality now that researchers in China have created the first tunable electromagnetic gateway.
The work is a further advance in the study of metamaterials, published in New Journal of Physics (co-owned by the Institute of Physics and German Physical Society).

In the research paper, the researchers from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Fudan University in Shanghai describe the concept of a “a gateway that can block electromagnetic waves but that allows the passage of other entities” like a “‘hidden portal’ as mentioned in fictions.”

The gateway, which is now much closer to reality, uses transformation optics and an amplified scattering effect from an arrangement of ferrite materials called single-crystal yttrium-iron-garnet that force light and other forms of electromagnetic radiation in complicated directions to create a hidden portal.

Previous attempts at an electromagnetic gateway were hindered by their narrow bandwidth, only capturing a small range of visible light or other forms of electromagnetic radiation. This new configuration of metamaterials however can be manipulated to have optimum permittivity and permeability – able to insulate the electromagnetic field that encounters it with an appropriate magnetic reaction.

Because of the arrangement’s response to magnetic fields it also has the added advantage of being tunable and can therefore be switched on and off remotely.

Dr Huanyang Chen from the Physics Department at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology has commented, “In the frequency range in which the metamaterial possesses a negative refraction index, people standing outside the gateway would see something like a mirror. Whether it can block all visible light depends on whether one can make a metamaterial that has a negative refractive index from 300 to 800 nanometres.”

Metamaterials, the area of physics research behind the possible creation of a real Harry Potter-style invisibility cloak, are exotic composite materials constructed at the atomic (rather than the usual chemical) level to produce materials with properties beyond those which appear naturally.

So, examining the wikipedia definition of metamaterials brought me to this fascinating tidbit…did you know they have Invisibility Cloaks???

Metamaterials are currently a basis for building a cloaking device. A possibility of a working invisibility cloak was demonstrated on October 19, 2006. According to the article, “A team led by scientists at Duke University’s Pratt School of Engineering has demonstrated the first working “invisibility cloak.” The cloak deflects microwave beams so they flow around a “hidden” object inside with little distortion, making it appear almost as if nothing were there at all.”[21] The associated report was published in the journal Science.[22]

Such a device typically involves surrounding the object to be cloaked with a shell which affects the passage of light near it. It was claimed that plasmons could be used to cancel out visible light or radiation coming from an object. This “plasmonic cover” would work by suppressing light scattering by resonating with illuminated light, which could render objects “nearly invisible to an observer.” The plasmonic screen would have to be tuned to the object being hidden, and would only suppress a specific wavelength—an object made invisible in red light would still be visible in multicolored daylight.[23]

Interesting syncs popping up today, gotta record it for posterity here and see if it continues to develop.
Yesterday I was checking out the brilliant work of Neil Kramer on his blog, The Cleaver and was pretty amazed at the picture he took of a ’sky serpent’. Here is what he wrote in his blog titled “Quetzalcoatl And The Galactic Jellyfish”

At 9:45pm on Wednesday (03-Jun-2009), I was pondering the manifestation of crop circles and how their remarkable glyphs might occur in other mediums/substances apart from cereal crop. I recalled there have been formations in snow, ice and water. I thought about sand. Earth. Like the Nazca lines. What about the sky? Air? As if to seek further inspiration, I looked up into the sky…A massive serpent hung in the air above me, composed of a stunning twist of deep orange vapor. It remained motionless as I watched it, until the sun finally set over the horizon and nothing more could be seen. One word echoed through my mind: Quetzalcoatl.

That was interesting, no doubt, and made me wonder just what we were seeing reflected in the sunset. A strange cloud formation? Some atmospheric remnant of a bizarre experimental craft? A sky snake, as in the legend of Quetzacoatl?

Well, it obviously stuck around in my mind, because today I stumbled on this article linked to David Icke’s latest news page from the Fortean Times called “Sky Serpents“. It’s a very long article quoting lots of newspaper reports from the 1800 concerning sightings of snakes in the sky.

One day in early 1833, a native chief approached two Western missionaries working on the Indonesian island of Sumatra to relate a bizarre experience. The chief, Tam Basar by name, swore that he and a companion had seen a snake flying through the air. Fearing that it was danger­ous, they killed it when it landed near them. When the missionaries expressed incredulity, the chief insisted that he was telling the truth. He added that the snake, 4ft (1.2m) long, had no wings, which to the listeners only made the story more far-fetched.

A year later, in January 1834, one of those missionaries, NM Ward, happened to be walking through a forest near the Pedang-Bessie River, a mile or so (1.6km) from the location where the flying snake had allegedly appeared. He and a companion stopped to study a particularly tall tree. Looking up, they were stunned to see a flying snake, exactly as described by the native informant. Four feet long and wingless, it was moving rapidly through the air from the tree they were standing under to another about 240ft (73m) away.

“Thus,” Ward wrote in the Missionary Herald of March 1841, “was I convinced of the existence of flying serpents; and, on inquiry, I found some of the natives, accustomed to the forest, aware of the fact.”

Ward went on to write that Dutch natur­alists working in the area didn’t believe him, any more than he had believed Tam Basar. The sceptics, however, were wrong. There are five species of “flying” snakes in South and Southeastern Asia; flying is in quotes because the creat­ures are actually gliding or parachuting. Herpetologists do not dispute their existence, and many photographs, films, and videos exist, as do collected specimens. What Ward saw, in other words, was nothing otherworldly.

These stories also reminded me of the recent comet sensation, Comet McNaught, viewed only by the southern hemisphere, in January of 2007. Not the media sensation it should have been, this incredible celestial event portrayed many things to many different people, from the return of the Blue Star Kachina to proof of biblical prophecy.

I gotta seriously wonder if all these phenomenon might somehow be related to the porous nature of our reality and the many portals that permeate our surroundings. Are these ’sky snakes’ actually creatures, flying machines, natural phenomenon or something else we can’t even imagine yet?

I’ll be keeping my mind open on this one.

Cosmic Rabbit Hole

Whoa! Did my sychromystic alarms ever go off at that point…so, as they say, let’s go down the rabbit hole and see where it leads. I certainly am not the first to study this phenomenon, but I can’t resist giving it a whirl!

As Wikipedia informs us about Rabbit Holes: In Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Alice follows a mysterious white rabbit into a rabbit hole to enter ‘Wonderland’, an absurd and improbable world inhabited by many strange characters. This usage has helped make the phrase refer more generally to any portal into a different or strange world.

But there is that other version, The Looking Glass Wars, a novel written by Frank Beddor where the white rabbit is actually Alyss’s (Alice’s) tutor, Bibwit Harte, an anagram of White Rabbit!

Oh, and don’t forget the other stargate opening lepus…presented to us in by Hollywood as The Last Mimzy…which was loosely based on a short story called “Mimsy Were the Burogoves” by a Lewis Padgett, (a pseudonym) who believed he was the reincarnation of Lewis Carroll (another pseudonym)!

The End of Time

I live down in Austin, Texas, and have sat outside most evenings to enjoy a smoke and watch the sunset. I’m no bird expert, but I give them quite a bit of attention and mentally note their seasonal patterns. But about a week ago, I observed an interesting phenomenon. Overhead were a stream of birds, heading due south, in incredible numbers. Now I don’t mean a flock of birds, or a migration of birds, I mean like constant waves of identical birds, flying furiously, somewhat erratically even, but heading the same direction, almost as if they were fleeing from danger.

The next evening my observations were verified by my friend who was also outside at sunset. She had been noticing this strange new behavior and we watched it happen again, together. So, now I know that it didn’t seem strange just to me. My curiosity was piqued!

The next night, nothing unusual happened…it was like a normal night, there were birds going here and there, but no mass exodus or frantic behavior. But the next evening it was back to the deviant flight patterns. Here they came again, in great waves from the same direction, but this time their heading was different, going directly over our house to the southwest. Some birds even changed course in mid glide to make the course correction. Very odd indeed.

Now tonight, I go watch yet another bizzare bunch of birds hightailing it to the southwest…then all the sudden the pattern changes and everyone is going due south again. Say what? Yep, they had changed there collective little minds just that fast and now had a new destination. Everyone that came thereafter headed south, none flew over the house! Some were circling very high, weaving in and out of each other like those little gnat vortexes you see in the evenings…they were either confused or enjoyed the ride on the energy grid shift!

After all that high strangeness, I decided to wander the web and see if there were any tell-tale indications of magnetic disruptions and such. Well, the first place I looked was at the poles, and guess what I found in Antarctica…?

Do you see what I see? It is really clear on a zoom, look around the shoreline. I see wave patterns being picked up by the instruments, apparently emminating north and east from that big blacked out spot near the center of the continent. Just what do you suppose that is???

Now don’t you agree that if there really is some kind of frequency disruption coming from the south pole, the birds would be the first to notice?

The question I want answered is are we seeing a natural phenomenon, a glitch in the satellite imagery, or a HAARP type operation?

Apparently the guys who study “Living Mathematics” have studied how cosmic energy patterns affect bird behavior. Their blogpost studies what causes them to suddenly exhibit ’swarm’ behavior and wonders how ordered patterns form out of chaotic and complex circumstances.  

Bottom line is that the birds, whales and heavens knows what else obviously react physically to the unseen forces of magnetic currents. Perhaps the animals are trying to warn us about the shift in energy? I think I’ll be keeping my senses alert, especially considering the ramifications of how it will affect the human psyche if it starts ‘reorienting’ our internal gyroscopes.

I’ve seen lots of evidence that people are feeling dizzy, disconnected and phased out, like the normal rules of time/space are slightly distorted. If this continues, we may be in for the fun (but scary) part of the ride that leads to our transition out of this 3-D construct.

The instant you’re born, you’re charmed, because life itself is a charm. Each being is charmed into existence in whatever reality it finds itself, and given everything it needs to operate in the environment.

Your body is charmed, too: It’s a magic part of everything else; springing up from all the things you see about you. Atoms and molecules go singing through the miraculous air, forming themselves into rocks and trees and dogs and cats and people, too. You ‘are’ magic.

You charm the air so that it thickens into your body wherever you are. When you want to move, you think the air ahead of you into becoming your body, and the air behind you then stops being your body . . . all very magical indeed. You move your arm just one inch to the right, and the air to the left stops being part of your arm. But it happens so quickly, your snatching of the air and making it turn into your body, that you never notice it at all, and take it quite for granted. Which is why it works so well, you see.

But your life is charmed. And there is a secret, a very simple one. Really, it’s not a secret. But you have to remember that your life is charmed. People who forget can’t use their magic nearly as well as they did before, and they have a tendency to get angry at those who can. So, often, they pretend that no magic exists at all. Then they evolve great philosophies to prove it, which is itself magical, of course. But they can’t see that, because they’re so convinced that magic doesn’t exist. And many people forget how simple and natural magic is, so they evolve long theories, and methods that are supposed to make it work, when you and I now, and everyone else ‘really’ knows, that magic happens by itself, because that’s what magic is.

But people are also very creative . . . magic again! . . . so they make up gods of this and that, and realms and spheres, and maps to chart out in advance where magic might be taking them so they don’t get surprised, which is silly because magic goes where it wants to, which is everywhere. And when you try to map it out in advance, you really cut yourself short. Because a characteristic of magic is that it automatically turns into whatever you want it to be. You create your own reality with it, so whatever maps you make are real. And if you forget what magic is, then you’re liable to think that your map is the only real one, and all the others are false. You get in a terrible bind, fighting over which way is right, which road or map, while all the time magic is what makes the maps. And a great variety of maps can appear in the twinkling of an eye!

Particularly when you grow up, many people will tell you that there is no magic. If you believe them, then you’ll forget too, and you’ll act as if you aren’t charmed and bring un-magic into your life . . . which is magic too, you see, but magic that doesn’t know itself. Then you’ll create things that go with un-magic, like sorrow or sickness, and you’ll have to deal with them at that level until you remember that your life is charmed again. So in the meantime you’ll feel nasty and unloved and angry, way beyond what is natural, and have to worry about sad or fearful emotions and what to do with them, when magically, you’d know: They’d just come and go exuberantly like summer storms.

But anger and hate and sorrow are all magic too, and left alone, they’d lead you back to the knowledge that you life is charmed. Because hate is love looking for itself everyplace but where love is; and love is what you feel for yourself when you know that you are where you’re supposed to be in the universe, and that you’re lovely just because you are, and, of course, charmed.

Not only that, but you’re also the magic maker; the inner living part of you that forms your life. But consciously you have to know this, accept and acknowledge it, and let the magic of yourself happen. That way, you’re directing the magic of yourself. But it’s even more fun just to let the magic happen as it wants to, because it’s your magic, and that way it keeps telling you more and more about your magical self. Then the magic flows through you with unimpeded delight. If you keep saying, “I want it this way and no other,” then you may limiting your physical experience, because there’s no doubt that your inner magical self knows more about your potentials than you do. And it will tell you quite clearly, if you only listen.

To many adults, all this sounds too simple and un-intellectual, because unfortunately many of them think that the mind is just something to say “no” with, and to keep out magic. Nothing could be further from the truth. But if you use your mind to say no to magic, then it’s like closing doors to our own charmed existence, and refusing to use the full power of your life.

Everyone works with magic, whether they realize it or not. Beliefs are magic, too, you see. Many people think that one particular belief makes everything right; or makes magic happen. And as long as they believe that, they’re all right for a while. But if they start doubting that belief, and don’t find another one to replace it, then they think that they’ve lost their magic, or that life has. Instead, of course, the magic is there all along. But people love systems, so they use all kinds of beliefs . . some of them quite handy . . . as aids. And they travel through belief systems, sometimes going to considerable trouble to do so, when all they really have to remember is that they are magic themselves, and their lives are charmed without their having to do anything about it at all.

And your conscious mind is magic, too. Its workings are mysterious and complicated, and simple and clear at once, like air is. Your conscious mind looks out through your eyes, and knows parcels of air as its body, and smiles through cheeks and skin the same way the the moon shines through the wide skins of the heavens. See how clear and mysterious it all is? So, in a way, it’s silly for the conscious mind to question magic, because–well, it’s so magical itself. But systems of magic are silly, too, and all of them are really based upon doubt. Magic is considered so tenuous that someone has to be at it all the time, making spells or paying someone else to do it. And the spells have to be done just right, so people concentrate on how to do this spell or another. This gets very complicated, and many adult books deal with the subject.

But everything is a spell. Your words and thoughts are spells. Science is just another system that tries to discover what certain spells cause certain effects. Usually, of course, scientists don’t understand magic any more than priests do; and they all get caught up in their own complicated methods. There isn’t much basic difference between muttering a-lot of phrases or drawing magic circles to protect yourself against illness, and taking a handful of pills given to you by doctors. Both methods work if you believe in them, though the practitioners of one method will never agree that the other way works at all, of course. And unfortunately, neither side ‘really’ understands magic, which is behind all of the spells and methods and formulas.

Spells work if you believe in them; only you don’t need spells at all. Everything happens by itself. You happen by yourself, so does the world. And the principle behind it all is magic. And magic is the being-Ness within and behind all things.”

Inspired by the July total eclipse of the sun, this video celebration is my reminder to myself and all my loved ones (which is all of you, by the way) that we just have to let go and stay in the flow, the cosmos is stacking the deck in our favor!

I was so impressed to see him tackle the subject of overpopulation. I have been seriously considering the notion that all these people are here for a reason, and the idea that there is just not enough room on the planet for all of us has been hitting my buttons! I mean anyone with Google Earth can quickly determine that there are huge tracts of unused land, much of which we can easily tamed with our nature controlling tactics.

So, I’ve been having my doubts about the whole hysteria about the population crisis because it seems to be trumpting the wrong agenda, at least if you’re on the side of the human population as opposed to the elitist who seem to regard us as ‘useless eaters’. I think the culprit here is poor management, the  intentional use of economic herding of workers  into badly designed cities that compound our sins against the environment. 

Another possible explanation for all these people is, as predicted by damn near every soothsayer and mystic who ever glimpsed the future, we are all headed for a cosmic wake-up call. According to James, the creator of the Wingmakers site, many of the calamities and harsh earth changes predicted have been averted by the ‘grounding’ of the planet by the huge population.

My theory is that everyone wants to be here for the shift of the ages, it’s kinda mandatory for those who have been participating in this program, and since reincarnation is all about experiencing all the different levels of physical manifestation, this would be the lifetime that many would be having to endure all the things they had been avoiding in previous incarnations. Therefore, we’re faced with some pretty horrid conditions as a result of the scale between death and birth being tipped heavily in favor of incarnation…at the moment, only two people die for every four that are born. That’s a 2 to 1 ratio that is creating this expotential explosion.

As Fintan points out, it is the advent of all this technology that makes it possible to support all these folks. No doubt the technology could use some serious improvements, but the overall concept of having access to the resources needed to support such an infrastructure are to be applauded. Once we shake off the corrupting layer that has settled over our access to power and production, we could find that there is plenty of room for us all to have pleasant, productive lives.
